| September 2005. The Historian, by Elizabeth Kostova. This book was reccomended to me by a friend. It's a hefty read (600+ pages) but a real page-turner, and well thought out. The book is full of tidbits of Eastern European history and vivid portraits of Istanbul and Budapest. It's a nice mix of history, the Dracula legend, and a detective story. This book was a bit of a departure for me, but I really enjoyed it. Back to reading list |
