The Shape of Water
(book #1 of the Inspector Montalbano series)
by Andrea Camilleri. This series of books was recommended to me by my brother (thanks
Charlie). This was a very easy and enjoyable read. The books were originally written
in Italian, so the translator has footnotes to expressions or people that the non-
Italian readers might not know. The book is about a Sicilian detective named Salvo Montalbano trying to wade through evidence and obstacles to understand the reason for the death of a prominent local public figure under unusual circumstances. Enough said. This book was really entertaining. Putting off reading the next installment would be, in the words of Pietro Rizzo, "improcrastinable." |
