August Heat
(book #10 of the Inspector Montalbano series)
by Andrea Camilleri. This one was my vacation reading choice this year but I burned through
it pretty fast. Without a doubt, I think this is the best of the series so far. In this book, the inspector works to unravel a 6 year old murder he discovers in the vacation home he's renting for his girlfriend and another family. He interrogates a local developer in a few pages of dialogue that are just great. I don't want to give away too much, but there are elements in this story that are pretty intense and the ending is very abrupt. |
